Library Computers

COMPUTER USE

THE INTERNET AT GARDNER MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL BE USED FOR SCHOOL-RELATED RESEARCH ONLY!  AT NO TIMES ARE GAMES OR “INTERNET SURFING” ALLOWED!

Students have access to the following software programs:

  • Word
  • PowerPoint
  • Excel
  • Access
  • Typing Tutor

Students must use their 10-digit ID number to log into the computer and the password they created at the beginning of the school year.  The password should be written in their planner to help them remember for the entire school year.  Should a student lock themselves out of the system due to using the incorrect password or forget their password they will have to visit the library to have their password reset.

Students are not allowed to view or send email

WARNING:  If a teacher assigns research that covers a topic that is not plainly and obviously school-related, the teacher will need to notify the library staff of the research project.  Topics that will be questioned include such things as video game sites, skateboarding, pop music/video sites, and anything else that appears to be non-school related.

Do not wait until the last minute to start or finish assignments. Computer use is on a first come, first serve basis and you are not guaranteed to always get a computer! 

Students who fail to abide by the District regulations shall be subject to disciplinary action, revocation of the user account, and legal action as appropriate per District Board Policy BP 6153.4

PRINTER USE

The first five pages of printing are free.  Thereafter, we charge .10 cents per page.  Non-school related items which are printed cost .10 cents per page.

The printer is not provided for non-school printing or copying.
