Upcoming events at GMS:

As we begin February, we recognize and celebrate Black History Month, honoring the achievements, contributions, and lasting impact of Black leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

Below are key dates and upcoming events to be aware of:

 Valentine’s Day Grams
From February 2nd to 11th, ASB will sell Valentine’s Day grams during lunch, priced between $1 and $3. Please help remind students to check the Student Store if they are interested in purchasing.

 Gardner’s Got Talent

• Auditions: February 9th from 3:00–4:30 PM
  Students needing specific props or materials have been instructed to notify Miss Pettit in advance.

• Show Night: February 27th from 5:00–7:00 PM
  Admission is free. Snacks and drinks will be available for $1–$5, and Five Star Points will be awarded to students who attend.

 Spirit Week: Hearts and Hustle (February 9th–12th)

• 2/9: Red or Pink Day

• 2/10: Class Color Wars

  • 6th Grade – White

  • 7th Grade – Red

  • 8th Grade – Pink

• 2/12: Heart Accessories Day

 

 No School
There will be no school from February 13th to 16th in observance of Presidents’ Weekend.

 STEM Night
February 19th is STEM Night.
Five-Star Points will be available for student participation.

 8th Grade Event
On February 24th, 8th-grade students will attend the Future Great Oak Showcase Field Trip.

 ASB National Day
February 26th marks ASB National Day: National Tell a Fairy Tale Day.

 ASB Applications – 2026–2027
All students must reapply, including current ASB members

• Complete the ASB Google Form application

• Submit two teacher recommendations

• Deadline: Friday, March 6th at 3:00 PM
  Students who do not complete both portions by the deadline will not be eligible for interviews.
